Michael Rudnick
Michael Rudnick has worked as a freelance writer of fiction, creative non-fiction, and journalism since 1995.
Mr. Rudnick is a creative professional writer with extensive project experience from concept to development. Talents include journalism (including both news reporting and feature writing), opinion-based writing, creative non-fiction, and all forms of fiction writing.
He writes non-fiction and as a freelance journalist under his own name, Michael Rudnick. He writes fiction and creative non-fiction under the pen name "Earl Crown".
Michael Rudnick has been a regular guest author and speaker at the Baltimore City Book Fair. He has given readings of his work at numerous book stores and galleries.
Under the "Earl Crown" moniker, he has written for the WIDELY acclaimed "Smile, Hon, You're in Baltimore" (Eight Stone Press) as well as for Baltimore's on-line magazine What Weekly, and for the fiction magazine "Tales of Blood and Roses" . In December of 2011, his works will also appear in the literary journals Bicycle Review and Humanize Magazine, as well as the critically-acclaimed "Exploitatiion Retrospect".
From 2005 through 2008, the Earl Crown blog was read by thousands. One of the Earl Crown blog entries, "Fear of a Black Phallus" was picked-up and reposted by the Citzens for Legitimate Government website.
Mr. Rudnick has also written a number of feature and news articles for Patch. In the past, he has written for both Patuxent Publishing (print) and WhatWeekly (on-line) as a guest writer.
Since 1996, Michael Rudnick has also worked in the financial industry, first as a retail loan originator and later as an account executive for a national wholesale mortgage lender.
